Miss Celina ’s Profile

My Bio

Miss Celina’s hometown is Oregon, WI. She grew up studying ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop, and tap. Celina had the opportunity to perform two major roles with StageWorks Projects including “Clara” in The Nutcracker and “Mina” in Dracula. She has furthered her dance education by participating in Milwaukee Ballet’s six-week summer intensive for two years in a row and continues to learn and grow through taking ballet at Madison Ballet. She is also a company member with Madison Contemporary Vision Dance.

Celina is currently a student at Madison Area Technical College and is in the Liberal Arts Program. She hopes to soon transfer to UW-Stevens Point to pursue a degree in dance.

Our very own Natalie Nemeckay is Celina’s source of inspiration! She admires Natalie’s ability and work ethic needed to run the studio and most importantly, admires her as a role model to her students. Celina teaches because she enjoys sharing her love of dance with students who share this same passion.

Favorite things: pugs, watching The Bachelor/Bachelorette, wearing the color pink, macaroni and cheese pizza

My Teaching Philosophy

Dance has been my life since I was a little girl. I remember looking up to all the big girls as they performed on stage. I wanted to be just like them. One of the first performances I saw was the Nutcracker which is what made me want to pursue dance. My goal as a teacher/dancer is to inspire each and everyone of my students to always do their best and to never give up. Determination along with hard work can get you far.
