Miss Kristina was born and raised in Madison, where she began her dance training. She participated in competition dance and trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, and hip hop. Upon high school graduation, she continued her dance training at Ball State University in Indiana. There, she continued to study ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater dance, as well as modern, earning both a dance minor and a BFA in musical theater.

Since college, Miss Kristina has lived and worked in New York City, Atlanta, and along the east coast. Now that she’s back in Madison, she is continuing her training with the Barrio Dance Factory in hip hop and street styles as well as contemporary fusion and heels. Additionally, she’s learning ballroom and Latin Dance through Madison Ballroom Company. She also holds certifications through the International Sports Science Academy as a Master Personal Trainer.

Miss Kristina teaches because she loves bringing more happiness into the world. To her, dance has been an important part of improving her mental health and finding joy. She loves being able to pass that on to others. With that in mind, her teaching style involves helping students find who they are as dancers and encouraging them to develop their own unique artistry. She emphasizes strength training to improve technique and then encourages dancers to let go and dance with their hearts.
